On the educational front we are very fortunate to have a major university, Arizona State University in our midst. We also draw many students to our area due to the fine reputation provided by the DeVry Technical Institute and our very successful Junior College system.
Theaters and Museums
At the Heard Museum, many fine artifacts and exhibits demonstrate the cultural history of our Native American Indians.The Music Museum has been a smashing success, and looks to be one of the must stops in Phoenix. Theater is alive and well in Phoenix and is demonstrated by the fine works put on by Herberger Theater, Phoenix Little Theater, and the Black Theater Troupe. The ever evolving Roosevelt Art District provides a venue for not only established artists' but, also those just emerging.The Botanical Gardens provides a view of our native vegetation at its' finest.

The Phoenix Suns Basketball has been the mainstay of our professional sports for over 35 years, and provided the road map for those that came later. They have a loyal following in the valley.
Only the Arizona Cardinals and Kurt Warner could give us the unbelievable high of a near win for the Super Bowl. Football Mania has taken hold in the desert town of Phoenix.
Hockey sports the Phoenix Coyotes. The team went to the playoffs for the first time in their history in 2012. There will be many more.
